This Privacy Policy explains what data DeskPilot ("the App") and this website collect, how it is used, and how it is stored. We aim to collect as little as possible.
1. Data the App Collects
DeskPilot runs entirely on your Mac. Your desktop names, colors, and preferences are stored locally on your device using macOS user defaults. The App does not transmit this data to us or any third party. The App does not include analytics or tracking.
2. Permissions
The App requests macOS Accessibility permission only to send desktop-switching keyboard shortcuts when you click a desktop label. It does not record keystrokes, capture screen contents, or monitor your activity. This permission is used solely on-device.
3. Software Updates
The App checks for updates by downloading an update feed from this website. These requests may include standard technical information such as your IP address and app version, used only to deliver the correct update. We do not use this information to identify or track you.
4. Payment Data
Purchases are processed by our reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"). When you buy DeskPilot, Paddle collects and processes the payment information you provide (such as name, email, billing address, and payment details) to complete the transaction, handle taxes, and prevent fraud. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. We may receive limited order information from Paddle, such as your email address and country, to provide support, deliver your license, and process refunds.
Paddle acts as the data controller for payment data it collects. For details, see Paddle's Privacy Policy.
5. How We Use Your Information
We use the limited order information we receive only to deliver your purchase, provide customer support, and process refund requests. We do not sell your personal information.
6. Data Retention
Order-related information is retained only as long as needed for support, accounting, and legal obligations. Locally stored app data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information held about you. To make a request, email xoevip@gmail.com. For payment data held by Paddle, you may also contact Paddle directly.
8. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision.
